Not a big story in a game when 11th ranked Wasserburg II (2-9) lost to sixth ranked Speyer / Schifferstadt (6-4) in Dudenhofen 65-78 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Speyer / Schifferstadt. Wasserburg II was better in fourth quarter 26-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Speyer / Schifferstadt dominated on the defensive end, holding Wasserburg II to just 7 points in third quarter. It was a good game for American guard Jennifer Mocanu (172-90) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 24 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists. Forward Uta Gelbke (177-86) contributed with 14 points for the winners. Speyer / Schifferstadt's coach Harald Roth let to play all 12 players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Speyer / Schifferstadt have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to fourth place in South, which they share with Bad Hombur.
