Very important is a road loss of third ranked Estoril Basket (6-6) against fourth ranked Benfica B (6-4) on Sunday night. Visiting Estoril Basket was defeated by Benfica B in a tough game in Lisboa 78-82. Benfica B looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. It was an exceptional evening for Slovenian guard Aljaz Slutej (188-96) who led the winners and scored 20 points and 6 assists. Swingman Sergio Silva (193-96) accounted for 21 points and 5 rebounds for the winning side. Four Benfica B players scored in double figures. Forward Sergio Lugo Santos (198-92) came up with a double-double by scoring 14 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists and power forward Eneyde Ferreira (196-90) added 21 points and 5 rebounds respectively for Estoril Basket in the defeat. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Benfica B moved-up to third place in Group South. Loser Estoril Basket dropped to the fourth position with six games lost. Benfica B will meet Fisica (#5) in the next round. Estoril Basket will have a break next round.
