Everything went according to plan when seventh ranked Friendsfactory Germering (5-6) edged on the road 9th ranked Keltern II (2-9) 76-74 on Sunday. Friendsfactory Germering forced 19 Keltern II turnovers. It was a good game for Polish forward Mirela Damaschek (186-88) who led her team to a victory with 18 points and 6 rebounds. The former international forward Magdalena von Geyr (180-84) contributed with 16 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Center Vanessa Seemann (182-88) replied with 25 points and 7 rebounds and Leonie Elbert (169-96) added 17 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists in the effort for Keltern II. Four Keltern II players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Friendsfactory Germering maintains seventh position in South with 5-6 record. Keltern II lost fifth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the ninth place with nine games lost. Friendsfactory Germering will face league's second-placed Don Bosco Bamberg at home in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Keltern II will play against Wasserburg II (#11) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
