There was no surprise when 11th ranked Herzoege Wolfenbuettel (3-10) was defeated at home by fifth ranked Oldenburg (9-4) 88-80 on Sunday. Oldenburg dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Herzoege Wolfenbuettel's 34. The former international Philip Zwiener (201-85) fired 24 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Naturalized Croatian power forward Marko Bacak (210-95) chipped in a double-double by scoring 14 points and 11 rebounds (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field).
