Regular Season Round 16: Juventus - Dzukija 77-62

Rather expected game when 9th ranked Dzukija (4-12) lost to seventh ranked Juventus (7-9) in Utena 62-77. The game was mostly controlled by Juventus. Dzukija was better in second period 24-19. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Vytautas Sulskis (200-88, college: Youngstown St., agency: Octagon Europe) who helped to win the game recording 17 points and 8 rebounds and American point guard Jamar Diggs (188-88, college: Wofford, agency: Octagon Europe) who added 12 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists during the contest. Juventus' coach Antanas Sireika allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. At the losing side American guard Jimmy Gavin (190-91, college: Winthrop) responded with 17 points and forward Paulius Morkeliunas (202-85, college: LIU Brooklyn, agency: Octagon Europe) scored 15 points. Juventus moved-up to sixth place, which they share with P.Zvaigzdes. Dzukija lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the ninth position with 12 games lost. Juventus will play against higher ranked Vytautas (#4) in Prienai in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Dzukija will play on the road against P.Zvaigzdes (#7) in Pasvalys and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
