The most exciting game of round 14 in the A Bundesliga took place in Furstenfeld. This derby game ended with only two-point home defeat of 6th ranked Furstenfeld Panthers (5-8) to third ranked Raiffeisen Wels (8-5) 77-75 on Monday evening. Furstenfeld Panthers were tied after three quarters but could not keep up in the last quarter eventually losing the game. Guard Thomas Csebits (186-89) chipped in 18 points and 6 assists. Raiffeisen Wels' coach Mike Coffin used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. Croatian Marko Car (188-85) produced 24 points and 4 assists and the former international point guard Hannes Ochsenhofer (185-85) added 16 points and 5 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Four Furstenfeld Panthers players scored in double figures. Raiffeisen Wels maintains third position with 8-5 record having just one point less than leader Oberwart. Furstenfeld Panthers at the other side keep the sixth place with eight games lost. They share the position with Vienna. Raiffeisen Wels are looking forward to face bottom-ranked UBSC Graz (#9) at home in the next round where they are favorite. Furstenfeld Panthers will play against Vienna in Wien and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
