Regular Season Round 15: Braunschweig - ALBA 82-92

There was no surprise when 16th ranked Braunschweig (2-12) was defeated at home by fifth ranked ALBA Berlin (9-5) 92-82. ALBA Berlin players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. Braunschweig was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a good game for Serbian swingman Dragan Milosavljevic (198-89) who led his team to a victory with 19 points and 8 assists. Bosnian center Elmedin Kikanovic (211-88, agency: BeoBasket) contributed with 19 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. ALBA Berlin's coach Ahmet Caki allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. American guard Carlton Guyton (193-90, college: Kent St.) answered with 20 points and 5 assists and the other American import point guard Carlos Medlock (183-87, college: E.Michigan) added 19 points and 4 assists in the effort for Braunschweig. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. The victory was the fifth consecutive win for ALBA Berlin. They maintain fifth place with 9-5 record. Braunschweig at the other side keeps the sixteenth position with 12 games lost. ALBA Berlin will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Braunschweig will play at home against Eisbaeren Bremerhaven (#13) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
