Regular Season Round 10: Mersin MBK - Fenerbahce 51-75

KBSL top team - Fenerbahce (9-1) had no problems winning another game on Saturday. This time they crushed seventh ranked Mersin MBK (4-5) 75-51. Fenerbahce dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Mersin MBK's 30. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 32 assists comparing to just 16 passes made by Mersin MBK's players. Worth to mention a great performance of French center Sandrine Gruda (193-87) who helped to win the game recording 14 points and 5 rebounds. American center Jantel Lavender (191-88, college: Ohio St.) contributed with 12 points for the winners. Melis Talay (-90, agency: LBM Management) replied with 9 points and Ukrainian Olesia Malashenko (191-91, agency: LBM Management) added 12 points in the effort for Mersin MBK. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Fenerbahce have a solid three-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with 9-1 record. Newly promoted Mersin MBK dropped to the eighth place with five games lost. They share the position with Istanbul Univ.. Fenerbahce are looking forward to face league's second-placed Galatasaray in Istanbul in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Mersin MBK will play on the road against Hatay (#10) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
