Leader Bornova delivered the fifteenth win on Saturday night. This time they crushed bottom-ranked 55 Genclik (0-17) 132-33. Bornova held 55 Genclik to an opponent 20.0 percent shooting from the field compared to 58.7 percent accuracy of the winners and had 17 for 25 from the free-throw line, while 55 Genclik only scored one point from the stripe. Bornova forced 25 55 Genclik turnovers and outrebounded them 67-24 including a 26-11 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 38 assists comparing to just 6 passes made by 55 Genclik's players. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Bornova made 11 blocks. Sukran Parlak produced 12 points and 6 rebounds and Zekiye Bank added 6 points and 5 rebounds respectively for the guests. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Bornova (15-2) have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They maintain first place, which they share with Edremit. 55 Genclik at the other side still closes the standings with 17 games lost. They share the position with Anadolu Univ.. Bornova is looking forward to face Bodrum (#4) in Mugla in the next round. 55 Genclik will play at home against Anadolu Univ. (#20) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
