Not a big story in a game when 9th ranked Adana ASKI (4-6) lost to second ranked Galatasaray (8-2) in Istanbul 59-64 on Saturday. However just five-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Galatasaray forced 21 Adana ASKI turnovers. American guard Yvonne Anderson (170-90, college: Texas, agency: Two Points) notched 18 points, 5 rebounds, 6 assists and 7 steals to lead the effort and Belarusian forward Maryia Papova (189-94) supported her with 15 points and 7 rebounds. Even a double-double of 22 points and 12 rebounds by American power forward Avery Warley (190-87, college: Liberty) did not help to save the game for Adana ASKI. Israeli-American forward Alysha Clark (178-87, college: Middle Tenn.St.) added 11 points and 11 rebounds for lost side. Galatasaray maintains second position with 8-2 record behind leader Fenerbahce. Loser Adana ASKI dropped to the tenth place with six games lost. They share the position with Hatay. Galatasaray will meet league's leader Fenerbahce in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Adana ASKI will play against Girne Univ. (#12) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
