Very predictable result in Istanbul where third ranked Fenerbahce (10-2) smashed 11th ranked Trabzonspor (4-8) 98-78. They outrebounded Trabzonspor 31-17 including a 15-3 advantage in offensive rebounds. Fenerbahce players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. It was a good game for Italian forward Luigi Datome (203-87) who led his team to a victory with 20 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists. Center Ahmet Duverioglu (209-93) contributed with 15 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Four Fenerbahce players scored in double figures. Fenerbahce's coach Zeljko Obradovic used entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. American-Congolese Dwight Hardy (188-87, college: St.John's) replied with 22 points and American Caleb Green (203-85, college: ORU) added 19 points and 5 assists in the effort for Trabzonspor. Fenerbahce have a solid three-game winning streak. Defending champion moved-up to second place, which they share with Besiktas. Trabzonspor at the other side dropped to the twelfth position with eight games lost. Fenerbahce's next round opponent will be league's leader Anadolu Efes in Istanbul and it will be for sure the game of the week. Trabzonspor will play at home against the league's second-placed Besiktas (#2) and hope to win that game.
