There was a minor upset when 11th ranked Science City Jena (5-10) lost at home to thirteenth ranked Deutsche Bank Skyliners (5-10) 78-71 on Tuesday. Science City Jena was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. American players dominated also this game. It was a very good performance for guard Kwame Vaughn (190-90, college: CS Fullerton) who helped to win the game recording 15 points and 7 rebounds. Forward Mike Morrison (206-89, college: George Mason, agency: Interperformances) contributed with 13 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Four Deutsche Bank Skyliners players scored in double figures. Point guard Julius Jenkins (187-81, college: Georgia South) replied with 26 points and guard Marcos Knight (188-89, college: Middle Tenn.St.) added 15 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Science City Jena. Science City Jena's coach let to play twelve players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Deutsche Bank Skyliners moved-up to eleventh place, which they share with Jena and Wuerzburg. Science City Jena lost third consecutive game. Deutsche Bank Skyliners will face Walter Tigers (#15) in Tuebingen in the next round.
