Regular Season Round 16: Walter Tigers - Ludwigsburg 76-88

No shocking result in a game when eighth ranked EnBW Ludwigsburg (8-7) beat 15th ranked Walter Tigers (3-12) in Tuebingen 88-76 on Tuesday. EnBW Ludwigsburg looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. American players dominated also this game. It was a very good performance for swingman Kelvin Martin (195-89, college: Charleston So.) who helped to win the game recording 23 points and 4 assists. Guard Drew Crawford (196-90, college: Northwestern) contributed with 21 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. EnBW Ludwigsburg's coach John Patrick used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Guard Davion Berry (193-91, college: Weber St.) replied with 15 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists (made all of his nine free throws !!!) and forward Stanton Kidd (202-92, college: Colorado St.) added 15 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Walter Tigers. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. EnBW Ludwigsburg moved-up to seventh place, which they share with EWE Baskets. Walter Tigers lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the fifteenth position with 12 games lost. EnBW Ludwigsburg will face Science City Jena (#11) at home in the next round. Walter Tigers will play against Deutsche Bank Skyliners (#13) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
