Rather predictable result when seventh ranked BC Timisoara (7-6) defeated on the road 9th ranked Craiova (4-9) 83-77 on Wednesday. The guests were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. BC Timisoara shot the lights out from three sinking 12 long-distance shots on high 54.5 percentage. The best player for the winners was American point guard Dominique Rambo (183-91, college: SAGU) who scored 26 points, 9 rebounds and 7 assists. Serbian guard Mladen Jeremic (198-88, agency: 011 Sports) chipped in 16 points. American guard Darius Hargrove (195-82, college: Virginia Union) produced 30 points and 7 rebounds and the former international center Catalin Burlacu (210-77, agency: Court Side) added 8 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists respectively for the hosts. BC Timisoara moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Oradea and Targu Mures. Loser Craiova keeps the ninth position with nine games lost. BC Timisoara will meet at home league's leader Steaua CSM in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Craiova will have a break next round.
