The most important game in the last round took place in Wien between third ranked Raiffeisen Wels (9-6) and sixth ranked Vienna (7-8) on Thursday night. Raiffeisen Wels were defeated by Vienna on the road 75-57. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Raiffeisen Wels. The game without a history. At the losing side Czech center Ales Chan (215-80, college: Seton Hill) responded with 14 points and 8 rebounds and the former international guard Kevin Payton (196-86, college: Minnesota) scored 5 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Raiffeisen Wels' coach rotated ten players seeing no chance for a win. Vienna have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to fourth place. Raiffeisen Wels at the other side keep the third position with six games lost. Vienna will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Raiffeisen Wels will play at home against Arkadia Lions and are hoping to win this game.
