Bottom-ranked UBSC Graz managed to get a fifth victory, breaking the three-game losing streak. This time they edged sixth-ranked Arkadia Lions in Traiskirchen 71-69. The guests were already 16 points ahead after 3 quarters before a 28-14 Arkadia Lions' run in the last quarter cut the lead to 71-69 at the end of the game. The winners were led by international Anton Maresch (191-91) who scored that evening 20 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists and Montenegrin point guard Milos Krivokapic (185-96) supported him with 13 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists. Four UBSC Graz players scored in double figures. Even a double-double of 18 points and 11 rebounds by Argentinian-Italian forward Fabricio Vay (207-86, agency: Interperformances) did not help to save the game for Arkadia Lions. The former international forward Florian Trmal (199-89, agency: Dynamics Global Management) added 18 points and 6 rebounds for lost side. UBSC Graz (5-9) moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Furstenfeld. Arkadia Lions at the other side dropped to the fifth position with eight games lost. They share it with Kapfenberg. UBSC Graz will play against league's second-placed Gmunden Swans in Gmunden in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Arkadia Lions will play on the road against Raiffeisen Wels and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
