No shocking result in a game in Raseiniai where fourth ranked Rasai (16-8) smashed 13th ranked Ezerunas-Karys (5-18) 93-70 on Friday. The game without a history. Rasai led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Ezerunas-Karys' 34. Rasai forced 21 Ezerunas-Karys turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Andrius Aleksandrovas (198-86) who helped to win the game recording 27 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists and guard Sarunas Vingelis (191-89) who added 17 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was Albertas Valiulis (201-95) with 16 points and 8 rebounds and Jonas Zakas (190-97) scored 12 points and 6 rebounds. Ezerunas-Karys' coach Paulius Barkus gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. Rasai maintains fourth position with 16-8 record. Loser Ezerunas-Karys keeps the thirteenth place with 18 games lost. Rasai will meet league's second-placed Nafta-Uni. in the next round and it may be the game of the week. Ezerunas-Karys will play against Perlas-MRU (#5) in Vilnius and hope to secure a win.
