We should mention about the upset which took place in Buyukcekmece, where 7th ranked Pinar Karsiyaka (7-6) lost to tenth ranked Demir IBB (6-7) in a road game 68-72 on Saturday. American point guard Kenneth Hayes (188-87, college: Miami, OH, agency: BeoBasket) fired 21 points for the winners. His fellow American import guard Osiris Eldridge (191-88, college: Illinois St.) chipped in 12 points and 5 rebounds. American point guard Mike Green (185-85, college: Butler) produced 22 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists and Polish swingman Mateusz Ponitka (196-93) added 12 points and 4 assists respectively for lost side. Demir IBB moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Tofas and Yesilgiresun. Loser Pinar Karsiyaka keeps the seventh position with six games lost. Demir IBB will face higher ranked Darussafaka (#5) in Istanbul in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
