Regular Season Round 15: BSW Sixers - Weser Bsk/BTS 98-65

Not a big story in a game in Sandersdorf where 7th ranked Weser Bsk/BTS (4-7) was rolled over by third ranked Sixers (8-2) 98-65 on Saturday. Sixers dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Weser Bsk/BTS's 36. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists comparing to just 11 passes made by Weser Bsk/BTS's players. It was a great evening for Croatian swingman Sandro Kordis (195-92) who led his team to a victory scoring 19 points and 7 rebounds. Czech center Jaroslav Tyrna (207-86, college: New Orleans, agency: Octagon Europe) helped adding 10 points, 11 rebounds and 6 assists. Sixers' coach Tomas Grepl felt very confident that he used 10 players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. The best for the losing side was swingman Andreas Bruns (197) with 15 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists and forward Lars Kaniok (195-80) scored 15 points and 8 rebounds. Five Sixers and four Weser Bsk/BTS players scored in double figures. The victory was the third consecutive win for Sixers. They moved-up to second place in North. Newly promoted Weser Bsk/BTS keeps the seventh position with seven games lost. Sixers will face RW Cuxhaven (#3) at home in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Weser Bsk/BTS will play against Rendsburg (#6) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
