Regular Season Round 13: Belenenses CF - Fisica 72-74

A very interesting game took place in Torres Vedras. It ended with only two-point defeat on the road of 6th ranked Belenenses CF (4-8) to fifth ranked Fisica (6-6) 74-72 on Saturday evening. Fisica made 17-of-20 charity shots (85.0 percent) during the game. Strangely Belenenses CF outrebounded Fisica 43-21 including a 15-4 advantage in offensive rebounds. Power forward Pedro Bagio (194-79) nailed 25 points (made all of his eight free throws) for the winning side and Nuno Monteiro (180-86) accounted for 10 points. Center Hugo Aurelio (200-80) came up with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 15 rebounds and swingman Ricardo Rosa (193-92) added 19 points and 6 rebounds respectively for Belenenses CF in the defeat. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for Fisica. They moved-up to fourth place in Group South. Belenenses CF at the other side keeps the sixth position with eight games lost. Fisica's next round opponent will be league's leader Barreirense in Barreiro and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Belenenses CF will play on the road against Estoril Basket (#5) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
