There was a minor upset when 11th ranked Mersin MBK (4-7) was rolled over at home by bottom-ranked Osmaniye (2-9) 79-58. The winners were led by American point guard Riquna Williams (170-90, college: Miami, FL) who scored that evening 22 points and 5 rebounds and Russian center Marina Bas (195-85) supported her with 15 points and 11 rebounds. Five Osmaniye players scored in double figures. Even a double-double of 18 points, 16 rebounds and 5 assists by American center Michelle Snow (196-80, college: Tennessee, agency: LBM Management) did not help to save the game for Mersin MBK. Ukrainian Olesia Malashenko (191-91, agency: LBM Management) added 13 points. Despite that victory Osmaniye went down to fourteenth position due to points difference. Mersin MBK lost third consecutive game. Mersin MBK at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keeps the eleventh place with seven games lost. Osmaniye's next round opponent will be league's second-placed Galatasaray in Istanbul and they do not belong to the favorites in that game.
