Regular Season Round 26: Petrochema - Nafta-Uni. 71-95

Not a big story in a game when 13th ranked Petrochema (5-20) was outscored by third ranked Nafta-Uni. (18-7) in Jonava 95-71. The game was mostly controlled by Nafta-Uni.. Petrochema was better in second period 27-22. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Petrochema to just 7 points in third quarter. It was a great shooting night for Nafta-Uni. especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 58.8 percentage. Petrochema was plagued by 31 personal fouls down the stretch. Dziugas Slavinskas (203-98) scored 16 points to lead the charge for the winners and point guard Deividas Anuzis (182-92) chipped in 11 points and 5 assists during the contest. Five Nafta-Uni. players scored in double figures. Swingman Mintautas Bulanovas (191-96) responded with 16 points and forward Tomas Milinskas (203-90) scored 8 points and 9 rebounds. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Nafta-Uni. moved-up to second place, which they share with Telsiai. Petrochema lost seventh consecutive game. They dropped to the bottom position with 20 games lost. They share it with Ezerunas-Karys.
