Rather expected game when 8th ranked Itzehoe (6-8) lost on the road to fifth ranked Oldenburg (10-4) 76-68 on Saturday. Point guard Haris Hujic (193-97) orchestrated the victory by scoring 22 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists. Forward Jan Niklas Wimberg (206-96) contributed with 11 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. American forward Kaimyn Pruitt (203-90, college: Adams St.) replied with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 rebounds and point guard Flavio Stueckemann (188-85) added 14 points in the effort for Itzehoe. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Oldenburg have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place in North. Itzehoe lost fifth consecutive game. They dropped to the seventh position with eight games lost. Oldenburg will face Artland Dragons (#4) in Quakenbrueck in the next round. Itzehoe will play at home against Herzoege Wolfenbuettel and hope to win that game.
