Regular Season Round 12: Mladost ZE - Vrsac 77-79

The most exciting game of round 12 in the KLS took place in Zemun. This derby game ended with only two-point home defeat of 5th ranked Mladost ZE (7-5) to first ranked Vrsac (10-2) 79-77 on Sunday evening. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Mladost ZE won third quarter 16-15. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Strangely Mladost ZE outrebounded Vrsac 40-27 including 30 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of power forward Nikola Jeftic (205-87) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 10 points and 10 rebounds and Montenegrin swingman Milos Savovic (200-89) who added 19 points (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) during the contest. The best for the losing side was guard Ognjen Kuzeta (193-87) with 22 points and swingman Nikola Kocovic (195-96) scored 21 points. Five Vrsac and four Mladost ZE players scored in double figures. Vrsac have an impressive seven-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 10-2 record, which they share with Dynamic BG. Mladost ZE at the other side dropped to the sixth place with five games lost. They share the position with Borac. Vrsac is looking forward to face Tamis (#5) in Pancevo in the next round. Mladost ZE will play on the road against OKK Beograd and is hoping to prove to their fans that this time they can win.
