Regular Season Round 7: Haskovo 2012 - Septemvri 142-58

NBL top team - Haskovo 2012 (5-1) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed fifth ranked Septemvri (0-6) 142-58. Haskovo 2012 dominated down low during the game scoring 82 of its points in the paint compared to Septemvri's 32. Haskovo 2012 forced 25 Septemvri turnovers and outrebounded them 53-28 including a 38-14 advantage in defensive rebounds. Haskovo 2012 shot the lights out from three nailing 16 long-distance shots on high 57.1 percentage. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 47 assists comparing to just 12 passes made by Septemvri's players. It was a great evening for American center Chelsey Lee (193-89, college: Rutgers, agency: LBM Management) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 37 points (!!!), 15 rebounds and 4 assists (on 15-of-16 shooting from the field). The former international Radostina Stefanova-Dimitrova (184-85) helped adding 31 points, 8 rebounds, 11 assists and 4 steals. Four Haskovo 2012 players scored in double figures. At the losing side guard Ivona Ilieva (176-98) responded with 19 points and 9 assists and Camellia Andonova (177-98) scored 16 points. Septemvri's coach Aleksandar Apostolov gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. Haskovo 2012 have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They maintain first place with 5-1 record. Septemvri at the other side still closes the standings with six games lost. Haskovo 2012 will play against Beroe (#4) in Stara Zagora in the next round. Septemvri will play at home against the league's second-placed Montana 2003 and hopes to get finally their first victory.
