Very predictable result in Subotica where third ranked Spartak (9-3) defeated 10th ranked OKK Beograd (4-8) 91-75 on Sunday. The game without a history. Spartak led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They made 22-of-24 free shots (91.7 percent) during the game. Spartak outrebounded OKK Beograd 42-25 including a 28-14 advantage in defensive rebounds. OKK Beograd was plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Svetozar Popovic (195-87) who helped to win the game recording 24 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists and center Stefan Andrejevic (206-93) who added 16 points and 11 rebounds during the contest (perfect from the field making all six shots). Four Spartak players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was forward Zarko Comagic (199-85, college: N.Arizona, agency: 011 Sports) with 9 points and 6 rebounds and naturalized Bosnian point guard Aleksej Nesovic (189-85, agency: BeoBasket) scored 15 points. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Spartak maintains third position with 9-3 record behind leader Vrsac. Loser OKK Beograd keeps the tenth place with eight games lost. Spartak will face KK Napredak Rubin Krusevac (#8) on the road in the next round where they are favorite. OKK Beograd will play against Mladost ZE and hope to win that game.
