An interesting game took place in Frankfurt, where higher ranked Giessen 46ers (8-9) lost to eleventh ranked Deutsche Bank Skyliners (7-10) in a road game 61-65 on Sunday. The best player for the winners was Danish guard Shavon Shields (201-94, college: Nebraska) who scored 15 points and 5 rebounds. American guard A.J. English (192-92, college: Iona) chipped in 14 points. At the other side the best for losing team was American forward Dwayne Evans (201-92, college: St.Louis) who recorded 15 points and 9 rebounds and his fellow American import point guard Cameron Wells (186-88, college: Citadel) added 19 points respectively. Giessen 46ers' coach Denis Wucherer rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Deutsche Bank Skyliners have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to tenth place, which they share with Goettingen. Loser Giessen 46ers dropped to the eighth position with nine games lost. Deutsche Bank Skyliners will face higher ranked EWE Baskets (#6) in Oldenburg in the next round and it may be quite challenging game.
