Very predictable result when fifth ranked Perlas-MRU (16-10) defeated on the road 12th ranked Mazeikiai (9-17) 79-68 on Sunday. The guests trailed by 20 points after first quarter, but they stormed back and won the game by 11 points. Perlas-MRU dominated down low during the game scoring 40 of its points in the paint compared to Mazeikiai's 18. Perlas-MRU forced 22 Mazeikiai turnovers and outrebounded them 48-25 including a 20-4 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a great evening for guard Margiris Normantas (193-96) who led his team to a victory scoring 24 points and 4 assists. Swingman Tautvydas Pipiras (197-93) helped adding 13 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists. Four Perlas-MRU players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was Aidas Einikis (195-96) with 24 points and Mantas Serksnas (202-96) scored 18 points. Perlas-MRU maintains fifth place with 16-10 record. Mazeikiai lost their third game in a row. They dropped to the eleventh position with 17 games lost.
