Regular Season Round 7: Neftochimic - Beroe 80-75

The game between third ranked Beroe (2-3) and fourth ranked Neftochimic (3-3) was the most important one in the last round on Sunday night. Beroe was defeated by Neftochimic in a tough game in Burgas 75-80. Neftochimic shot 64.4 percent from the field and made 17-of-20 free shots (85.0 percent) during the game. 24 personal fouls committed by Beroe helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international swingman Maria Tsankova (180-88, agency: Interperformances) who helped to win the game recording 19 points and 5 rebounds. Swingman Teodora Dineva (178-96) contributed with 15 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Four Neftochimic players scored in double figures. American-Trinidad and Tobago forward Kellindra Zackery (184-88, college: Newman) answered with 28 points and 6 rebounds and American Monique Reid (185-90, college: Louisville, agency: Gamble Sports Management) added 17 points in the effort for Beroe. Beroe's coach Tatyana Gateva rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Neftochimic moved-up to third place. Beroe at the other side dropped to the fourth position with three games lost. Neftochimic will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Beroe will play at home against the league's leader Haskovo 2012 (#1) and is hoping to win this game.
