Regular Season Round 10: Blyskavky - HAI 83-52

The game between closely ranked teams ended with 7th ranked HAI's (3-10) road loss to sixth ranked Blyskavky (7-5) in Vinnytsia 52-83 on Tuesday. The game without a history. Blyskavky led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 46 of its points in the paint compared to HAI's 20. Blyskavky forced 27 HAI turnovers and outrebounded them 46-32 including a 35-24 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a great shooting night for Blyskavky especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 60.0 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists comparing to just 12 passes made by HAI's players. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Blyskavky made 7 blocks. The former international power forward Tetyana Yurkevicius (187-95) notched a double-double by scoring 26 points and 18 rebounds to lead the effort and point guard Viktoriia Khomiak (170-95) supported her with 16 points, 5 rebounds, 6 assists and 5 steals. Even 17 points and 4 assists by point guard Nataliya Pokrovenko (170-93) did not help to save the game for HAI. Point guard Alina Lakh (164-98) added 13 points, 5 assists and 4 steals for lost side. Blyskavky have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to fifth place. HAI lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the seventh position with ten games lost. Blyskavky will meet league's leader Avangard in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. HAI will play against Interkhim (#3) in Odessa and hope to secure a win.
