Regular Season Round 13: Amager - Stevnsgade 96-68

The game between third ranked Amager (7-4) and 6th ranked Stevnsgade (3-8) in Kastrup ended with biggest points difference. Amager outscored guests from Stevnsgade 96-68. It looked good early as Stevnsgade took a 3-point small lead at the end of first quarter. But then Amager had a 30-17 second period charge getting the lead and Stevnsgade was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 68-96. Amager made 16-of-17 charity shots (94.1 percent) during the game. They outrebounded Stevnsgade 46-28 including 16 on the offensive glass. Amager players were unselfish on offense dishing 26 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by Stevnsgade's players. Forward Catharina Jensen (182-89) stepped up and scored 22 points, 8 rebounds and 8 assists for the winners and Filipino-American forward Kelly Hardeman (183-94, college: Azusa Pacific) chipped in 19 points and 11 rebounds. Four Amager players scored in double figures. At the losing side the former international guard Ida Pretzmann (178-90, college: TCU) responded with 23 points and 7 rebounds and the former international forward Maja Gerlyng-Hansen (179-88, college: Siena) scored 16 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Amager maintains third place with 7-4 record having just three points less than leader Virum, which they share with Lemvig. Stevnsgade lost fourth consecutive game. They dropped to the fifth position with eight games lost. They share it with SISU. Amager will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Stevnsgade will play at home against SISU (#5) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
