Regular Season Round 13: Virum - SISU 79-63

Dameligaen top team - Virum (10-1) had no problems winning another game on Wednesday. This time they beat fifth ranked SISU (3-8) 79-63. The hosts trailed by 3 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 1-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 79-63. Virum outrebounded SISU 44-19 including a 27-12 advantage in defensive rebounds. American players dominated the game. Worth to mention a great performance of center Valerie Driscoll (193-92, college: Quinnipiac) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 20 points and 18 rebounds. Guard Gillian Abshire (179-93, college: Quinnipiac) contributed with a double-double by scoring 17 points, 10 rebounds, 7 assists and 4 steals for the winners. Guard Jazmine Redmon (173-91, college: Gonzaga) answered with 15 points and 5 rebounds and guard Ciara Andrews (175-94, college: St.Joseph's) added 13 points and 4 assists in the effort for SISU. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. SISU's coach Morten Thomsen rotated ten players seeing no chance for a win. Virum have a solid series of three victories in a row. Defending champion maintains first place with 10-1 record. SISU at the other side keeps the fifth position with eight games lost. They share it with Stevnsgade. Virum are looking forward to face Lemvig (#4) at home in the next round. SISU will play against Stevnsgade and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
