Regular Season Round 18: Hamburg - Kirchheim 86-87

Tenth-ranked Hamburg (7-11) gave a tough game to third ranked Kirchheim Knights (13-5). The visitors from Kirchheim managed to secure only one-point victory 87-86. However their fans expected much easier game. Hamburg was plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. American forward Jonathon Williams (198-90, college: Wagner) notched 25 points and 9 rebounds to lead the effort and the other American import guard Carrington Love (186-94, college: Green Bay) supported him with 16 points and 4 assists. Even a double-double of 21 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field) by American guard DeAndre Lansdowne (187-89, college: Fort Lewis) did not help to save the game for Hamburg. Center Enosch Wolf (215-90, college: Connecticut) added 13 points and 9 rebounds. Four Kirchheim Knights and five Hamburg players scored in double figures. Kirchheim Knights maintains third position with 13-5 record having just three points less than leader MBC. Hamburg at the other side keeps the tenth place with 11 games lost. They share the position with Uni Baskets. Kirchheim Knights will play against bottom-ranked Titans (#16) in Dresden in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Hamburg will play at home against Baunach (#13) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
