Regular Season Round 16: Hertener Loewen - Bonn II 107-98

There was a minor upset when 9th ranked Bonn II (7-9) was defeated on the road by twelfth ranked Hertener Loewen (6-10) 107-98 on Friday. Hertener Loewen made 17-of-19 free shots (89.5 percent) during the game. Worth to mention a great performance of British guard Kofi Josephs (198-91, college: Fort Lewis) who helped to win the game recording 49 points (!!!), 6 rebounds and 6 assists and forward Felix Neumann (201-90) who added 16 points and 13 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side Valentin Blass (195-95) responded with 25 points and 6 rebounds and center Alexander Moeller (208-98) scored 15 points and 7 rebounds. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Hertener Loewen moved-up to tenth place in West, which they share with Ibbenbueren. Bonn II lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the eighth position with nine games lost. Hertener Loewen will face higher ranked Salzkotten (#6) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game.
