The game in Pleven was also quite interesting. 5th ranked Rilski (6-7) played at the court of sixth ranked Spartak Pleven (6-6). Spartak Pleven defeated Rilski 93-77 on Friday. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Rilski. Spartak Pleven shot the lights out from three sinking 16 long-distance shots on high 51.6 percentage. Power forward Dimitar Marincheshki (200-90) notched a double-double by scoring 18 points and 12 rebounds to lead the effort and Martin Marinov (191-85, agency: 011 Sports) supported him with 24 points. Even a double-double of 26 points and 10 rebounds by American forward D.J. Shelton (208-91, college: Washington St.) did not help to save the game for Rilski. His fellow American import point guard Kelvin Parker (184-82, college: NW Missouri St.) added 16 points for the guests. Five Spartak Pleven and four Rilski players scored in double figures. Spartak Pleven moved-up to fifth place. Rilski at the other side dropped to the sixth position with seven games lost. Spartak Pleven will meet league's leader Lukoil Acad. in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Rilski will play against the league's second-placed Beroe (#2) and hope to secure a win.
