Regular Season Round 13: Neuss - Krofdorf/Gleib. 85-59

Rather predictable result when third ranked TG Neuss (11-2) smashed at home 5th ranked Krofdorf/Gleib. (8-5) 85-59. The game was mostly controlled by TG Neuss. Krofdorf/Gleib. was better in third quarter 22-19. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Strangely Krofdorf/Gleib. outrebounded TG Neuss 35-23 including 16 on the offensive glass. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. It was a very good performance for swingman Franziska Worthmann (178-86, college: Robert Morris) who helped to win the game recording 30 points. Power forward Jana Heinrich (188-86, college: San Diego St.) contributed with 19 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. American forward Alise Karlsone (183-91, college: Charleston So.) answered with 17 points and 9 rebounds and Roos Hof (183-94) added 13 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists in the effort for Krofdorf/Gleib.TG Neuss moved-up to second place in North, which they share with Goettingen and Wolfenbuettel. Newly promoted Krofdorf/Gleib. dropped to the sixth position with five games lost. TG Neuss' next round opponent will be Baskets Grunberg (#7) in Gruenberg which should be theoretically another easy game. Krofdorf/Gleib. will play at home against Wolfpack Wolfenbuettel and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
