KBSL top team - Fenerbahce (12-1) added another victory to their record on Saturday. This time they beat ninth ranked Botas (6-7) in Istanbul 64-60. Fenerbahce forced 19 Botas turnovers. Worth to mention a great performance of American center Jantel Lavender (191-88, college: Ohio St.) who helped to win the game recording 16 points and 9 rebounds. International point guard Birsel Vardarli (175-84) contributed with 11 points and 6 assists for the winners. American guard Odyssey Sims (175-92, college: Baylor) answered with 19 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists and international center Tilbe Senyurek (190-95, agency: 1x1 Sports) added 15 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Botas. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Fenerbahce have an impressive series of six victories in a row. Defending champion maintains first place with 12-1 record. Botas at the other side dropped to the seventh position with seven games lost. They share it with 3 other teams. Fenerbahce's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Istanbul Yakin Dogu BGD.
