Regular Season Round 15: Elchingen - FC Bayern II 74-92

Very important is a home loss of third ranked Elchingen (9-5) against sixth ranked FC Bayern II (9-5) on Sunday night. Host Elchingen was defeated by FC Bayern II in Elchingen 92-74. They made 25-of-31 free shots (80.6 percent) during the game. FC Bayern II looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. Elchingen was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a great evening for Bosnian point guard Amar Gegic (200-98) who led his team to a victory scoring 13 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists. Forward Tobias Korndoerfer (204-90) helped adding 16 points and 6 rebounds. Five FC Bayern II players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was forward Adrian Didovic (205-94) with 18 points and 5 rebounds and American guard Brandon Lockhart (185-90, college: Drury) scored 3 points, 5 rebounds and 14 assists. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. FC Bayern II moved-up to fourth place in South, which they share with defeated Elchingen. Elchingen lost third consecutive game. FC Bayern II will face higher ranked Bayer Giants (#3) in Leverkusen in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Elchingen will play on the road against Wuerzburg and hope to win that game.
