Very important is a home loss of second ranked Weissenhorn Youngstars (10-5) against twelfth ranked Giants (3-12) on Sunday night. Host Weissenhorn Youngstars were defeated by Giants in Weissenhorn 80-68. It ended at the same time the six-game winning streak of Weissenhorn Youngstars. It was a good game for American guard Terence Smith (193-91, college: Mississippi) who led his team to a victory with 22 points and 5 assists. Center Adrian Lind (206-94) contributed with 20 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Four Giants players scored in double figures. Power forward Nils Mittmann (201-79) answered with 3 points, 9 rebounds and 10 assists and power forward Till Pape (204-97) added 7 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for Weissenhorn Youngstars. Giants maintains twelfth place in South with 3-12 record. Weissenhorn Youngstars at the other side keep the second position with five games lost. Giants' next round opponent will be higher ranked Licher Basket (#10) at home and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Weissenhorn Youngstars will play against Fraport Skyliners II (#9) and hope to win that game.
