There was no surprise in Balikesir where 10th ranked Bandirma Kir. (8-10) was defeated by seventh ranked Bursaspor (12-6) 67-63 on Sunday. The best player for the winners was Croatian guard Karlo Vragovic (192-89, agency: BeoExcell) who scored 22 points (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). The former international forward Yunus Cankaya (199-85) chipped in 9 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals. At the other side the best for losing team was Erkan Yilmaz (198-97) who recorded 16 points and guard Eray Akyuz (187-0) added 11 points and 5 assists respectively. Bandirma Kir.'s coach Menderes Gumusdal tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Bursaspor moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Istanbulspor. Loser Bandirma Kir. keeps the tenth position with ten games lost. Bursaspor will face higher ranked Afyon Bld (#5) in Afyonkarahisar in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Bandirma Kir. will play on the road against Acibadem (#3) in Istanbul and hope to win that game.
