Regular Season Round 13: Osnabruck SC - Osnabruecker TB 80-50
Date: January 15, 2017
Very expected game when 9th ranked Osnabruecker (4-9) was crushed on the road by fourth ranked Osnabruck SC (9-4) 80-50. The game without a history. Osnabruck SC led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Osnabruck SC outrebounded Osnabruecker 37-22 including a 16-5 advantage in offensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of Nigerian guard Promise Amukamara (173-93, college: Arizona St.) who helped to win the game recording 20 points. American guard N'Dea Bryant (183-94, college: N.Carolina) contributed with 8 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Swingman Larissa Schwarz (176-91) answered with 8 points and Birte Seyer (183-94) added 8 points in the effort for Osnabruecker. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Despite that victory Osnabruck SC went down to fifth position (North) due to points difference. Osnabruecker lost sixth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the ninth place with nine games lost. Osnabruck SC's next round opponent will be SG BBZ Opladen (#8) in Leverkusen. Osnabruecker will play at home against Braunschweig and hope to win that game.
