Second Stage Round 3: Telsiai - Rasai 85-82

Important game to mention about took place in Telsiu. Telsiai (20-9) saved a 3-point victory at home edging Rasai (18-11) 85-82 in the game for the third place. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Rasai won third quarter 20-14. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The game was decided in the last minutes when Telsiai won last quarter 25-23. They made 16-of-19 charity shots (84.2 percent) during the game. They brought some defensive toughness making 7 blocks. It was an exceptional evening for point guard Ignas Razutis (185-87) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 13 points, 7 rebounds and 12 assists. Guard Laurynas Kaveckis (190-90) accounted for 22 points for the winning side. Telsiai's coach Augenijus Vaskys allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. Power forward Sarunas Beniusis (206-93) came up with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 11 rebounds (on 9-of-10 shooting from the field) and point guard Tomas Galeckas (183-94) added 10 points and 8 assists respectively for Rasai in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
