Leader Karlsruhe PS delivered the thirteenth victory. This time they beat 7th ranked Dragons Rhoendorf (7-9) 80-72. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Dragons Rhoendorf. They outrebounded Dragons Rhoendorf 48-32 including a 19-7 advantage in offensive rebounds. The winners were led by Bill Borekambi (198-92, college: Sequoias CC) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 13 points and 12 rebounds and swingman Eric Curth (193-92) supported him with 20 points and 5 rebounds. Four Karlsruhe PS players scored in double figures. Even 9 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists by point guard Viktor Frankl-Maus (186-93) did not help to save the game for Dragons Rhoendorf. Thomas Michel (200-95) added 15 points and 5 rebounds for lost side. Newly promoted Karlsruhe PS maintains first position in South with 13-3 record. Dragons Rhoendorf at the other side keeps the seventh place with nine games lost. Karlsruhe PS's next round opponent will be Wuerzburg (#9) on the road and are hoping to win another game. Dragons Rhoendorf will play against Fraport Skyliners II in Frankfurt and hope to win that game and get promotion back to the just one year after relegation.
