Regular Season Round 19: Socar Petkim - Mamak DSI 85-69

Very expected game when 17th ranked Mamak DSI (4-15) lost on the road to third ranked Socar Petkim (14-5) 85-69 on Saturday. Socar Petkim looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Quite impressive performance for American point guard T.J. Campbell (175-88, college: Portland) who helped to win the game recording 29 points and 9 assists. Bosnian power forward Kenan Bajramovic (206-81) contributed with 13 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Four Socar Petkim players scored in double figures. Socar Petkim's coach Burak Goren used entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. American guard Reginald Holmes (193-87, college: Morgan St.) answered with 30 points and the former international center Umit Turkoglu (211-81) added 11 points and 10 rebounds in the effort for Mamak DSI. Socar Petkim have an impressive series of eight victories in a row. They maintain third place with 14-5 record having just two points less than leader Sakarya BSB. Mamak DSI lost ninth consecutive game. They keep the seventeenth position with 15 games lost. Socar Petkim will face Turk Telekom (#9) in Ankara in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Mamak DSI will play at home against Duzce Belediye (#16) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
