We should mention about the upset which took place in Elazig, where higher ranked Elazig (13-7) lost at home to eleventh ranked Urla BLD (10-10) 72-78. It ended at the same time the seven-game winning streak of Elazig. They outrebounded Elazig 41-22 including a 30-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. The winners were led by Ukrainian center Olena Staschuk (192-85) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 32 points and 10 rebounds and Gizem Kumandanoglu (-94) supported her with 15 points. Even 29 points, 8 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals (on 13-of-17 shooting from the field) by American power forward Sharon Houston (191-88, college: IU Northwest, agency: Gamble Sports Management) did not help to save the game for Elazig. Sehernaz Cidal (183-95) added 15 points for the hosts. Urla BLD have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain eleventh position with 10-10 record.
