There was an upset in Neustadt where higher ranked Weser Bsk/BTS (4-9) was defeated by eleventh ranked Wusterhausen (3-9) 75-69 on Saturday. Wusterhausen dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Weser Bsk/BTS's 34. Wusterhausen forced 24 Weser Bsk/BTS turnovers. Center Nico Draegert (208-90) stepped up and scored 15 points and 9 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) for the winners and Noe Trenz (195-89) chipped in 21 points. Four Wusterhausen players scored in double figures. Forward Lars Kaniok (195-80) responded with 16 points and 6 rebounds and forward Jonas Liermann (197-87) scored 17 points. Weser Bsk/BTS's coach Caitanya Kaiser tested ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Wusterhausen moved-up to tenth place in North, which they share with ALBA Berlin II. Weser Bsk/BTS lost their fourth game in a row. Newly promoted team dropped to the eighth position with nine games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
