There was no surprise when 13th ranked Herzogenaurach (3-13) was edged at home by eleventh ranked Zwickau (5-11) 87-84 on Saturday. Center Mario Nagler (203-87) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 13 rebounds (on 10-of-12 shooting from the field) for the winners and guard Hendrik Bellscheidt (193-90) chipped in 16 points and 7 rebounds. Naturalized Polish Kevin Wysocki (200-87, agency: Octagon Europe) responded with 26 points and 7 rebounds and Austrian swingman Michael Kaiser (195-82) scored 14 points and 5 assists. Five Zwickau and four Herzogenaurach players scored in double figures. Herzogenaurach's coach Benni Aumeier tested ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Zwickau maintains eleventh place in South-East with 5-11 record, which they share with Leitershofen. Herzogenaurach lost their eighth game in a row. They keep the thirteenth position with 13 games lost. Zwickau will face higher ranked Jena II (#9) at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
