Very expected game when 9th ranked Craiova (4-11) was defeated at home by fifth ranked Oradea (10-6) 87-82. Craiova was ahead by 4 points after three quarters before a 24-20 charge of Oradea, which allowed them to win the game. They made 33-of-40 charity shots (82.5 percent) during the game, while Craiova only scored sixteen points from the stripe. Strangely Craiova outrebounded Oradea 46-28 including a 21-6 advantage in offensive rebounds. Craiova was plagued by 33 personal fouls down the stretch. American guard Martin Zeno (196-85, college: Texas Tech) nailed 17 points and 5 rebounds for the winning side and Canadian center Sean Denison (210-85, college: Santa Clara, agency: 011 Sports) accounted for 14 points and 10 rebounds. American swingman Jamar Abrams (201-89, college: E.Carolina, agency: Inception Sports) came up with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 12 rebounds and the other American import guard Tayloe Taylor (191-86, college: Livingstone) added 19 points and 8 assists respectively for Craiova in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Oradea have a solid series of four victories in a row. Defending champion moved-up to third place, which they share with CSU Sibiu and Pitesti. Craiova lost third consecutive game. They keep the ninth position with 11 games lost. Oradea will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Craiova will play on the road against CS Dinamo Bucuresti (#10) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
