Everything could happen in Mersin at the game between two tied teams. Both ninth ranked Istanbul Uni and 7th ranked Adana ASKI had identical 6-7 record. But Adana ASKI was not able to use a home court advantage and was defeated by the opponent from Istanbul 82-75. Istanbul Uni players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. Bosnian-Serbian guard Sasa Cado (178-89) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 20 points, 11 rebounds and 6 assists. Latvian power forward Aija Putnina (191-88, agency: Josep and Nicolas) contributed with 20 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Four Istanbul Uni players scored in double figures. American point guard Alex Bentley (170-90, college: Tarbes) replied with 23 points and 5 assists and her fellow American import power forward Avery Warley (190-87, college: Liberty) added 15 points and 16 rebounds in the effort for Adana ASKI. Istanbul Uni (7-7) moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Hatay. Adana ASKI at the other side dropped to the ninth position with eight games lost. Istanbul Uni's next round opponent will be league's leader Fenerbahce in Istanbul and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Adana ASKI will play on the road against Samsun (#14) and hope to win that game.
