Very expected game when 15th ranked Braunschweig (4-14) lost on the road to fifth ranked ALBA Berlin (14-5) 84-76. ALBA Berlin players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. It was a great evening for American Tony Gaffney (206-84, college: Massachusetts, agency: Octagon Europe) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 10 rebounds. Serbian swingman Dragan Milosavljevic (198-89) helped adding 17 points and 4 assists. Four ALBA Berlin players scored in double figures. At the losing side American power forward Jamal Boykin (203-87, college: California) responded with 25 points and the other American import point guard Carlos Medlock (183-87, college: E.Michigan) scored 13 points. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. ALBA Berlin have an impressive series of nine victories in a row. They moved-up to fourth place. Braunschweig at the other side keeps the fifteenth position with 14 games lost. ALBA Berlin will play against Giessen 46ers (#8) at home in the next round. Braunschweig will play against EWE Baskets (#6) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
